VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES TO ASSIST WITH RECOVERY FROM STORM SANDY

HOW TO HELP -
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES TO ASSIST WITH RECOVERY FROM STORM SANDY

Here is an incomplete listing of volunteer opportunites run by various organizations for helping communities that were devastated by the recent storm.

- Chasdei Lev is organizing a major cleanup effort this Sunday in Seagate. Begins at 9:30am at the gate leading into Seagate. Please carpool as parking is extremely limited in the area. Dress warm, wear boots or thick soled shoes shoes if you have (which won't get ruined if you're stepping in water) and gloves. Prepare to work hard, get dirty and to help out!!

- Masbia Kosher Community Kitchen, 6pm to 9pm, Sun- Thurs, 1372 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11230. Volunteer dishwashers desperately needed! Last week, Masbia prepared over 3,000 meals to feed the displaced in Coney Island. We need hardworking adults who can help us wash our pots and sheet pans as well as some other tasks, so we can continue to feed and serve the victims of Hurricane Sandy in the area. Please call 718-972-4446 ext 210 or walk-in.

- Met Council Food Warehouse. Volunteers to help organize and pack food for distribution. Must contact and confirm beforehand. Contact metcouncilvolunteer@gmail.com, with WAREHOUSE subject line.
